We are so saddened to hear of Jim,s passing,as long time friends since we were 5 or 6 yrs old,oh what mischief we got into and always got caught, well I got caught cause I was a little to heavy to run and then I would squeel on Jim,but through all the trouble we were in our Parents always tried to keep us grounded ,The White family and our family including little Mikey Frelich, were life long friends almost like one big family,I will dearly miss Jim ,I could go on and on but sadly my squeeling days are over for Jim,until we meet again my friend,our sincere condolences go out to the White Family,s. Ann and myself are truly saddened by Jim's passing. We send our heartfelt condolences to the family, especially Heather, Shane and Ron. We couldn't have hoped for a better neighbour or friend when we bought our cabin, than Jim. Our grandchildren loved to go over and see "Uncle Jim and Aunt Heather", and get a cookie or treat, or play in the Blue Room. The first time I met Jim he asked why I mowed the grass between our properties. He looked at me and said, don't you worry about the grass. I'll do your grass and mine with the ride on mower. And he did. I hardly knew him and he did that. That told me the kind of person he was. Doing for others. He would always ask me how Ann was doing and was she ok. He will be truly, truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with you at this time, and Jim will always be in our hearts. God Bless.

Heather, Shane and the rest of Jim's family. So sorry to hear of Jim's passing! I met Jim 40 years ago and we have been friends every since. He was always there for me! If he didn't answer his phone immediately, then he called me back shortly thereafter. Last Thursday my neighbour needed some work done and I called Jim and sure enough he answered the phone, saying he was at the Doctors' office and would call me back in a bit. He didn't call be back because he got the worst news of his lifetime but he obviously told you Shane to call me and you did and you came by and told me the sad news about your father and my trusted friend. What kind of person does this? A extraordinary person, JIM WHITE! A week later and I am writing this condolence letter, don't figure!
I always coached Jim on getting yearly checkups done but he always said, "you going to die of something"! Jim was everybody's friend, I know this because I saw examples of this whenever I was around him. He had lots of reasons to be upset with people but that wasn't Jim White, that wasn't his nature!
Shane, we had lots of conversations about you, he loved you unconditionally! A father can only hope to have the relationship with his son that you guys had! And seeing you drive up towards me last Thursday, I said to Karen, my god he looks just like a young Jim, handsome that is, maybe a little bit bigger haha!
I could write for hours and it makes me feel good just sitting here thinking about him but we will chat later. Shane, I'm sure I will have a reason to call you in the future.
He was a wonderful Man and I will miss him!
