Ruby (aunt rube) was my Godmother. This privilege was a blessing, passed along to me by my father, whom loved & respected his sister deeply. I always thought myself lucky, of all the people he could have chosen, he chose Ruby. Though I’m sure he could not foresee, exactly how much I needed her in my life, I am truly honoured & blessed to have had her as my Godmother”, a fitting title for such a beautiful soul. I struggle to find the words to express how much she meant to so many people, including myself. So I thought it best, to express it in a poem.
A limb has fallen from the family tree,
I keep hearing a voice that says, grieve not for me,
Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs,
The good life I’ve lived, when I was strong,
Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you,
Keep smiling and surely the sun with shine through,
My mind is at ease, my soul it at rest,
Remembering all of the ways I was blessed,
Continue traditions, no matter how small,
Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls,
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin,
Until the day comes, we’re together again.

MR BALL and FAMILY - We were so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Mrs Ball. We were fortunate to get to know you both while attending the Tea Room luncheons at our Parish Hall. She was always in such great spirits, and was a joy to chat and carry-on with. You both always had such wonderful stories to share. She will be sadly missed sitting next to you in that front pew every Sunday morning, and we were so happy to see that even though that pew is closed during COVID, for the two Sundays that we have been reopened, you were both seated in the pew right behind it, so nobly holding your prominent position. From our chats, we know you have lots of great memories to help you through the weeks and months ahead. Take care, and God Bless !!!

Aunt Ruby will be greatly missed. I loved her dearly. She was my mom’s sister and best friend. I always felt a part of that circle. She was my godmother and was a big part of my life growing up. She supported me through stressful times and laughed with me during the fun ones. I have so many great memories with her.
I admired her strength in fighting lung cancer and recovering from her stroke. She was such an inspirational person.
Albert, Mark and Lloyd please know how much she was loved and how much she impacted peoples lives. My sincerest condolences for your loss
