I have fond memories of Ern on a fishing trip to Mobile 30+ years ago with Eldred Kennedy. We had a massive bonfire on the beach of Mobile Big Pond and there was a so called warden in the area. Ern was fanatic about putting out the fire before the warden came and confronted us. Rest in peace...........
To Ruby, Rach,Jeanette, Edgar, and Vic - I am thinking of you as you say a final goodbye to dear Ern. I so remember when we were kids hanging out at the swimming hole, and the rock wall behind Ern's house. Those were fun, happy days. I know he is in a more peaceful place right now. I am so sorry to hear of Ern's passing. I remember him fondly throughout the community but especially while I worked at Price Chopper in Kelligrews. We always had a few laughs when he came with a delivery. He was a hard working man and he will surely be missed.
