Obituary of Cyril Peach

Cyril Peach July 3, 1939 – Dec. 17, 2020 Cyril passed at home surrounded by his family at the age of 81 years, after a year long battle with a heart attack and cancer. He is predeceased by his baby daughter Wanda Ann, his parents Albert & Fanny Peach, his sister Elizabeth Cluney, and his brothers John & Edgar and 2 special foster sons (Carl & Alvin Simms). Leaving to mourn his wife of 61 years Jane Lehr Peach, his sons Terry, Clayton (Sheila), Eldon (Norma), daughter Ann Marie Keats (Clayton), two granddaughters who he loved as much as life Jessica (Rudy Roberts) & Courtney (Adam Russell). His brothers Furness (Caroline), Frank, Mervil, and sister- in-law Linda Peach, special friend Michael Power , and special neighbours Karen & Ken Power, also many nieces and nephews. Also, his hunting buddies for many years Gerald Keough, Gerard Molloy, and his wife Jane was also his hunting buddy. He never went hunting without her. Cyril was a retired employee of NL Power and he rowed in the St.John’s Regatta for NL Power and won many races; including four gold medals. Cyril was also inducted into the CBS Sports Hall of Fame Feb.21 1998. Cyril loved hunting, fishing, ice fishing & berry picking, and into Clayton’s shed on Wednesday nights to have a little jam session and play his fiddle. All these things he spent hours doing with his wife Jane. Cyril always said they were not only husband and wife…. they were buddies. He will be missed and thought of often and loved always.
