Obituary of Agnes Snow

Agnes Snow nee Puddicombe born October 7th 1928 in Mundy Pond It is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of our dear mother Agnes on December 18th 2020 at the age of 92 in St. John’s. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Margaret Puddicombe (nee Brown). Her children Edward Robert-1951, Robert William-1974, Joanne Hawley-2009, Peggy Coughlin-2019, and their father Edward Snow-1986. Her sister Margaret Hewitt, brother Mike Puddicombe and son in law Gary Coughlin. Also, her extended Puddicombe siblings, Frances Woods(Bill), Daniel(Agnes), Bill(Mary), Robert(Ellen), Tom(Rose), Bride Follett(John), and Sadie Newell(Harold). Left with fond and loving memories is her partner of almost 40 years Charlie Barnes of Kelligrews. Her children Kay Baird(Dave) Cavell Snow(Bob Duke-deceased) Frances, Linda(Bob Breen) Ed(April), Ron(Elizabeth) Roxanne(Gail Murphy Taylor). Son in law Dave Hawley. Charlie’ son Rick Barnes(Gail). Sisters Joan Knight (Bill) living in Florida, Florence( Wayne-deceased) living in Buffalo. Brothers Jim(Joan deceased), Harold(Alice) David(Wanda-deceased) brother-in-law Max Hewitt, sister-in-law Frances Puddicombe, and Agnes’s many nieces and nephews. Agnes had 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She never forgot any of their birthdays, and loved seeing and hearing about them on a daily basis. Agnes loved a game of cards. Her children faithfully played with her every Saturday night. Agnes would never run when it was her turn to. She hated to lose the Ace of Hearts or her Jack, or any high card for that matter. She wanted to hold on to it for her 5 points. A special thank you to Provincial Homecare, especially Allison Jennings who was a godsend to mom and her family. Thank you also to Heritage Square Retirement Home, where mom lived for four months before moving in with her daughter during Covid. Special thank you to her grandson Mark Hawley who faithfully connected with mom through Facetime almost everyday, mom dearly loved it! Agnes had many years of service donating her time to Meals on Wheels and singing in the Choir at All Saints Church in Foxtrap. Donations in her memory can be made to her church “All Saints”. A heartfelt thank you to Reverend Parsons who visited mom in her time of need. “Mom” We had you in our lives for so many years. We are fortunate, blessed, and eternally grateful.
