Les was a kind soul, a devoted husband and loving father. I remember all the fun times at Christmas he would come to the house, have a drink and play a song for my Mom and Dad, it was so much fun. We looked forward to that every year. This is a very sad and difficult time in your lives, losing a dad is not easy. Take time to reflect, sit, reminisce and share stories of all the beautiful memories you all shared together, it will help to ease the pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless, hugs.

Linda,Dave,Melvin.
Sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad.
What a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
If one was to choose a individual to imulate, It would be your father Les Batten.
Your father was a special person, a unique soul.
He touched the lives of so many people.
One could not but admired his character.
He will always live in the memories of those who had the privilege of meeting him.
We are all blessed with the good fortune of having know him.
Your Dad will be missed but not forgotten.

Les Batten Was a lovely person.
We had the joy of knowing him because our Daughter Ann Marie and and her partner Jason Fitzgerald were his neighbors on Batten's rd. and a welcoming neighbor he was.
He loved family and friends, spoke highly of everyone and was proud of his Batten heritage.
He was a talented musician who readily shared that gift.
We are saddened to hear of his passing.
Sincerest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Mr. Batten

Melvin, Linda, Dave and families, and all who loved Uncle Les, please accept my heartfelt condolences. I have many fond memories of times at Aunt Stella and Uncle Les' place. I especially remember when he'd show me the pigs and other "farm animals", Christmases and other occasions. As an adult, I truly appreciate how much he and Aunt Stella did to help my Mom and Dad and look after me. The way Uncle Les cared for Aunt Stella always touched my heart. I think of them from time to time these days - due to health setbacks, my husband now helps me get around. I regret drifting away from family as I got older and had my own family, but you all still mean a lot to me. I know that as the days pass you'll find comfort in each other and see parts of him in yourselves. Uncle Les, you will always be loved and admired. Rest in peace.

Linda, Melvin and Dave and families;
I am very sad to know of your father‘s passing this week. He was a gentleman and a gentle soul. When I visited your house many times over the years, he was always so welcoming. Everyone was welcomed like the flowers in May. I always remember Linda and Melvin playing the guitar and accordion on a lot of special occasions. He was so glad to see everyone together and Company drop in. He dedicated his life to his beautiful wife, Stella, and his family. I’m sure he will be dearly missed by everyone. My deepest and sincere condolences in the loss of a lovely man and your father. May he rest in peace.

My condolences on the passing of your dad, a truly nice gentleman. So many memories of growing up on Batten’s Road. I was always instructed to call my elders by their first name with Mr or Mrs in front of it, he was Mr. Les to me and your mom was Mr. Les’s Stella so as not to be confused with Mr. Abe’s Stella. I am sure you have many beautiful memories will bring you comfort during this time.

To Dave and all members and friends of the Batten family. Maxine and I wish to extend our most sincere condolences on the passing of your father, grandfather and friend. We met Les through the friendship Maxine and I shared with you and your Maxine so many years ago as we were all doing our best to make our way along and raise our children. As everybody who has met your Dad can attest to, he was a total gentleman and a role model to us all. There’s no words we can say to take this terrible pain away but to lean on each other and draw on the numerous wonderful memories you all share.
I can only imagine what fun they are all having now together again at last. No pain or suffering, just good music, good story telling and great pride in all of you. We hope you can all celebrate his life as he certainly lived every day to it’s fullest and loved you all so much.
