Dear Family of Dot,we were so sad to hear of Dot passing and not being able to celebrate her life at church with her sad too.She was such a caring beautiful soul, she is definately now at peace with her mom and brother Walt whom she always told me she missed. She has certainly earned her wings for all the joy she brought to every one of us.Dot and I had a few drives to Holyrood to visit my sister and have lunch at Mary Browns we had lots of laughs especially when I tried to take selfies of us together. I remember she loved the Hymn,Pass Me Not O Gentle Saviour!I will forever think of her every time I enter church because she was always there before us.God has gained another beautiful soul.God bless her family and may your beautiful memories give you all great comfort in this most difficult time.Love and prayers,George and Linda.

To The Greeley Family I remember Dot so well. She was always walking & she could go pretty fast too. Some days when I was out walking, I would met Dot and she would always think that I was Alma,I used to tell her that this is Mary,That beautiful smile would always be there. She would ask where I was going & what was I doing. Dot would always mention no matter how many times you would met her, how much she misses her mom.She was joyful & happy all the time.Dot never changed much over the years, I always taught she was much younger. She used to say I'm coming out to see you & have you got a dog. I told her yes but I ' ll look out for the dog. She came out a couple of times.Thats years ago now.Met her a couple of times down in cherry lane while we were out for a drive, Always stopped & had a little chat.Thinking of you all as you mourn her loss. Dan and family... sorry to hear of Dots passing. She was such a sweet gentle soul that made an impact on all that had the pleasure of meeting her. Years ago She loved dropping in to many houses along Greeley Town on her travels each day to get a cup of tea and a cookie. She was welcomed by all because after all, she was Dot! She lived a very simple life but yet so content. She is now reunited with her mom whom she missed so much. She is now with the other angels and for sure smiling that big infectious smile that was her trademark.

Dorothy (Dot) Greeley was a very kind and always welcome presence in my childhood/school girl life in Greeleytown in the fifties and sixties.
She had the sweetest smile and always many questions about where I was going and what I would be doing with my day.
Dorothy (Dot) had the kindest heart and I am truly saddened to learn that her gentle sweetness and authenticity is no longer here with us today. I send deepest sympathy and condolences to all her family and many friends.

My grandmother, Mary Ann Greeley's house was no more than 30 feet from the home that Dot shared with her beloved Mother, so I have memories of Dot ever since I've had memories. She was so devastated when her mom passed yet despite that and the rest of life's challenges, she never lost herself to it all, remaining sweet, innocent and always cheerful. Her life is an example of all that is good in this old world. RIP sweet Dot.

Dan and Greeley Family: We were saddened yesterday to hear of Dot's passing. Reg has fond memories of Dot as he grew up on Greeleytown Road and when I became part of his family almost 45 years ago always heard Reg talking about this lovely Dot Greeley and how friendly she was and then I got to meet her myself. I was part of our Church group at St. Thomas of Villanova that visited the home at Cherry Lane that Dot was a resident. She dearly loved to see us come and she would play bingo, sing, dance and always wanted me to take a snap of her with Santa. She was always smiling no matter what and loved to dress up especially with her many brooches she collected over the years. I will truly miss not seeing her when we get back to our Christmas visits at the home. She always asked me about the Haskell family whenever we visited and I would always bring her messages back to Reggie as she called him. Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Dot and may her gentle soul Rest In Peace. Blessings to you all as Heaven just received a new angel.

To the Greeley family,
Dot certainly was a very special person her gentle kind way will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a family we got to know her best when she lived on the Access Road. Many times we dropped her off from church on Sundays. She always said “I miss my mom”. She never met anyone of us without asking about all of the family especially Dave ( Dana’s husband ) when he worked in Alberta. She was so sincere, and loved everyone. If ever angel wings are deserved hers will be made of gold! Condolences to all family and friends who loved and will miss her. RIP Dot.

GREELEY FAMILY - It’s sad to hear of Dot’s passing. I would never have thought she was 85 years old (20 years older than us) - her face has hardly changed a bit since the days when we were kids walking in and out Greeleytown Road. Almost every day we were sure to run into Dot, and we would chat every time we met, and she would always ask about my older sisters, Marie and Barb. Years later whenever we met Dot, usually in Church, we would always chat, and she still asked about Marie and Barb. She was truly a gentle and loving soul, and just from reading some of the tributes to her, you can tell that she deeply touched the hearts of many, of which I am one. May she fly high with the angels, and may she now enjoy the comfort and warmth of the arms of her dear mother, whom she truly missed. May God bless her !!!

We were one of the fortunate ones who got to bring Dot back and forth from her home in on the Foxtrap access and the one on Cherry Lane to attend church service .on the way to church she would comment on the number of cars at the Salvation Army and when we pass Sobeys she wasn’t very pleased to see it opened on Sunday having people working on Sundays was not what Dot wanted!I remember asking dot if she still liked to knit she was so proud to tell me that she loved to knit but she also reminded me that she didn’t knit on Sundays!!
I hav lots of great memories of Dot one more is going back and forth at Christmas Dot was so amazed at all the Christmas lights along the way she would point with her finger and smile and I would smile back at her and say they are beautiful.
I know that there’s a heaven and I know that Dot is there right now with all her loved ones who have gone before her and of whom she said that she missed so much! Dot may you Rest In Peace until we meet again. God Bless

Family and friends of Sweet Dot.
My name is Joe Dawe Jr. in case some don’t know me I’m the son of the late Joe Dawe who was the caretakers All Saints parish for 20 years, In which Dot was a faithful parishioner.
I have been working in Labrador since the summer after Dad passed away which was Oct 31/2006. I spent many trips travelling back and forth Labrador and CBS over the passed 13 years and every trip I managed to get home I’d arrange that I’d get to spend that Sunday morning home so I could attend my home parish to see everyone and especially Dot. Dot held a special place in my heart long before Dad even got sick and passed away. But when I first started travelling Dot asked me to bring back a pin to her from where ever it was I was to. So over the years I have lost track on how many pins I hand delivered personally to her or I had sent out in a package so it could be dropped off to her. My sister she said she had quite to collection of pins. After Dad passed Dot and her sisters at Dads wake told me that I was next in line to take Dads space as a pallbearer for when ever she passes away. It was shown to me in a book that it was wrote down in. But unfortunately due to my current situation and the pandemic I am not able to make the trip from Labrador City to CBS to attend any type of service ( but also it is a private service) But Dot rest assured I have thought about you often and I have asked my sister about you many times as she works at the pharmacy that deals with your place of residence. Rest Easy Dot my sweet Lady, you will never be forgotten

So sad to hear of Dots passing. I had the privilege of getting to know Dot when I worked at the Home in which she lived. I remember growing up in CBS always seeing Dot out for her walk, she loved to walk everyday, with such speed and her arms always swinging. When I began working at the home and had the opportunity to get to know her it was such a treat. She was so kind and caring.. very helpful to everyone. She enjoyed her bottle of Coke and her bag of chips.
The day I bought my first car she came to me with a little gold bell, she said hang that in your car, and if your ever in a accident the bell will ring and call the angles to come and protect you. That bell is still in my car today. I cherish those days.
Dot would often tell 'I miss me mudder' Dot my darling I know your happy now with 'your mudder'
