Derm was a dear friend, an incredible musician and one of the funniest people I've ever met. In our time working up north we worked hard and played harder. I will cherish my time with Derm and look back with a smile thinking of the joy we shared. Rest in peace Dermie, love ya buddy.

I remember trying to coax him to play at our open mic show, he seemed so shy but I could see that he loved music, he eventually did play and oh how we enjoyed his singing. Barbie,Connie, Maureen ,Allison and Effie. So very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Derm, I was his home care worker and he was a true gentleman. He was so thankful for everything I did for him. Many days he would play the guitar and sing a song for me. I'm sure you are playing and singing in heaven Derm. My fondest memory of Derm. Is when he played the accordion along with my granddaughter Audrey who was only around 9 years old. It was at my daughter
Sherry and Craig’s( Effie’s son) home To hear both of them play together was fantastic and how Derm made Audrey feel by his praise of her accordion playing bought a wide smile on her face. Derm was a lovely , kind, talented soul. God now has him in his embrace , Rest In Peace Derm and we will one day gather again and enjoy your singing and playing You will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all

Was so sad to hear of Derm's passing this morning. I was told ye had a sing song last night and that is a wonderful memory to hold dear to your heart. Dear Effie and Barbie and all of Derm's family,
We are so saddened today to hear of Derm's passing. He certainly put up a good fight.
We have so many good memories of sharing time and music with Derm. We will treasure them forever. I remember the first time I heard him sing at the SUF and i think it was "One more cup of coffee"....that song will forever remind me of him.....sang as only he could do it!
