It is sad to hear of Roger’s passing. Roger was a great asset to our Coast Guard technical community.... a no nonsense guy who always found a way to get the job done. And at the end of the day, there was always time for a beer and a yarn. I can hardly look at a lobster without thinking of Roger and smiling.

Saddened to learn the news about Roger’s passing. I knew him for over 15 years and my interactions with him were always cheerful and pleasant. He had that rare ability to get the job done at hand with his immense knowledge and dedication towards his work. He never shied away from his responsibilities and always faced the challenges head on with pride. He set the bar very high for colleagues like me and achieved a great deal of success due to his tireless efforts. May God bless his soul and give strength and courage to Shirley and the family to deal with this immense loss!

To all who knew and loved Roger.
My condolences for your loss. The last time I saw Roger was when he came out to the Vancouver Coast Guard station near where I live. He phoned first and I didn't recognize his voice. He asked for Connie with the wrinkly eyes. At first I was taken back, but later when we met, he told me about Shirley who had the most beautiful skin. He was in love, and I was okay with the wrinkly eyes, my laugh lines.
There was a time when I thought Roger looked like my dad, Tommy, even in this photo I see Grammy and dad in Roger's left eye. I'm happy that he found you, Shirley and family.
May you Rest In Peace, Roger,
With love,
Constance
