It is with great sadness that the family of Geraldine Lewis (nee Wade) announce her peaceful passing, at her home, on September 15 2021, at age 64 years. Geri is predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Roland Wade, brother Roly Wade and sister Belinda Wade. Left to mourn with fond and loving memoires are, her loving devoted husband of 43 years Jerome, her daughters Karyn and Stephanie, and Son in Laws Jonathan Rusted and David Griffiths.  She also leaves behind her five precious grandchildren; Jack, William, Emma, Sam and Benjamin who brought so much joy to her life and her furry companion, Sophie. Geri was blessed with a large family who will miss her dearly including her sisters, Margie and Ann Marie (Derek); and brothers, David, Kenneth (Bernadette), Vince, Barry (Dolly) and Leo, Sister in law Marguerite (Ed) and Brother in law John as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Roger Butler and his medical team (Jennifer, Stephanie, Trena,  Carolyn and Haley) who provided exceptional care and support to Geri and family. A special thank you to the Eastern Community Health staff (Melissa, Tina and Tonya) whose unwavering commitment and guidance was deeply appreciated.  The compassion and dedication shown to Geri and family in her final days provided comfort and solace.   Geri was fortunate to be blessed with two very special people who helped care for her with the utmost kindness and warmth.  Helen Healey and Sheila Rideout, your dedication, care, love and compassion was beyond compare.  Your commitment and professionalism to Geri and family, was a source of strength and comfort that will forever be cherished.  Visitation will be held at Hickey’s Funeral Home, Holyrood on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 4:30pm to 7:30pm. In accordance with COVID 19 regulations. The funeral service will be by invitation only.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House for sick children and families.
