I have many fond memories of Grandma, many of which involve love, laughter and surprisingly frustration. I mention frustration because for those who knew her, she was a whiz at Chinese checkers and could beat you like it was nothing! Visiting Grams and Pops when I flew to Newfoundland was always something to look forward to. From picking blue berries in the sunshine to catching capelin for her, the memories we've shared will last forever. As I visited Newfoundland last summer, my Dad and I stumbled across Grandpas hidden bottle of rum, in which we showed Grandma. We decided that we would both have a drink of it sometime and cheers to Pops, though we made the mistake of leaving it with her that night. Being the practical woman she was, she decided that neither Kevin nor I should have any of it, and found another use for it. As my Dad and I arrived in the afternoon the next day we were shocked to find the bottle empty. Grandma had thrown it out on some wasps that were bugging her in the backyard. Of course we were laughing at the whole situation, yet I know she was content with our sobriety and hopefully no more wasps. My dad and I still joke about it all today. I cherish all the good times we shared and will carry the memories with me throughout my life. May you rest in peace, and reunite with Grandpa in Heaven - Love Robert Trickett
