Hewitt, Andrew (born Barr’d Island, Fogo Island)

March 6^th, 1938 – November 10^th, 2021

Passed away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home  surrounded by his family on November 10^th, 2021, age 83 years. Predeceased by his parents: William and Mary Ann (Brown), brothers: Archibald, Elias, James, Ronald, Ralph, Roy, sisters: Mary, Lucy, Elsie, Phyllis. Leaving to mourn Ruby, his wife of 60 years, children: Dennis (Karla), Keith and Florence (Brian), two grandchildren: Christopher and Michaela. Also a large circle of other family and friends. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Ennis at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Visitation will be in Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Saturday, November 13^th, 2021 from 2 PM – 4 PM and 6 PM – 8 PM. Funeral service will take place in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel, Kelligrews on Sunday, November 14^th, 2021 at 1 PM with Rev. Howard Hynes officiating.  Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s  Society. According to provincial regulations, COVID Passports and Identification are required for guest visitation and funeral service.
