Obituary of Elaine Hennessey

HENNESSEY, ELAINE  (nee Prosper)     
Passed into the presence of  her Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, Elaine Hennessey, age 63 years of  Long Pond, Conception Bay South. Predeceased by her father Harold Prosper and her father and mother-in-law Eldon and Lilly Hennessey. Loving wife for 35 years of Don Hennessey, Loving mother to Cheryl (Danny Williams) and Renee (Gerald Zengeya), Loving Grandma to her precious grandchildren Bellamy and Rhett Williams, Sister-in-law to Lilly Metcalfe (Bruce). Loving daughter to her mother Marie Prosper-Parsons, sister to Wanda (Bob Wiseman), Karen (Brian Fifield), Darryl (Jean), Barb (Keith Janes), Dave (Tammy), Don, Roger, Cindy (Todd Janes), Michelle (Bert Canning). Also leaving with fond memories her nieces, nephews and other family members, friends and neighbours, the congregation of Park Ave. Pentecostal Church and the clients of our accounting business where Elaine joined Don to work in 1995, and they continued working together until her illness in 2021.Many thanks to all the medical staff of the Dr. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre especially Dr. Stewart Rorke, her family physician Dr. Emily Ursell, Dr. Noreen Fardy of palliative care and the nurses of CBS Public Health, especially Jennifer Codner. Also special thanks to her two loving nurses - Annette Coates (niece) and Carla Williams (Cheryl's mother-in-law and family friend) for their loving care and expertise, and all our family members and friends who have supported us in any way during this difficult time. Visitation at Hickey's Funeral Home at 570 Conception Bay Hwy, Conception Bay South on Thursday, November 25th from 3:00-8:00 pm and Friday, November 26th from 3:00-8:00 pm. A service to give to God thanks for her life will be held at Park Ave. Pentecostal Church, 195 Park Avenue, Mount Pearl on Saturday, November  27th at 1:00 pm. Internment will follow at Faith Pentecostal Cemetery, Readers Hill Road, Conception Bay South. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation, Park Avenue Pentecostal Church Building Fund or the CBS/Paradise Community Food Bank.
