Bruce, Shawn and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Gerri's death. Please accept my most sincere condolences.
As a Public Health Nurse, I worked closely with Gerri from 1990 until her retirement. Her professionalism and dedication to her work was second to none. Regardless of the the job, if it was left in Gerri's hands , it was completed to the highest standards. Gerri was a wonderful co-worker and work friend.
Gerri's love for Bruce and Shawn was obvious by the broadening smile on her face each time she was asked how they were doing. I can only imagine her joy when she became a grandmother. I also remember the 'other man' in her life - " Daniel O'Donnell" - oh how she loved his concerts and his music.
" Well done thy good and faithful servant".

I was saddened to hear of Gerri's passing. I worked with Gerri at Eastern Health, Cordage Place. I had the privilege to work side by side with her and she was patient with me in training and showing me the ropes. She was a very dedicated person and loved her family and spoke of them often. I am very sad to hear about Gerri. I worked with her at Cordage Place and we often talked and shared a laugh. She was always pleasant and efficient at keeping the clinics running for the nurses. Heartfelt condolences to Gerri’s family. I was very sad to hear this news today. I had the absolute privilege of working with Gerri for many years in Public Health. She was responsible for Child Health Clinic bookings amoung many other things. The process was flawless under her careful and considerate eye. Her kind, gentle nature was reflected in every interaction she had with parents and she was a marvellous advocate always bringing forward new ideas to improve practice. Gerri was always so professional and caring balanced beautifully with strong advocacy for those we served and her coworkers. I have not seen her since retiring but will always remember her for the tremendous contribution she made to Public Health. Rest In Peace sweet, gentle Gerri.

Bruce and Shawn, I’m so deeply saddened to hear of Gerri’s passing today. You know Gerri and I would always somehow meet at our neighbourhood mailbox or the grocery store. We’d start talking about our families and before you know it an hour or more had passed. I enjoyed each and every conversation we had together.
