Edith, Brad and Craig, we are so sorry for your loss and heartache. We remember Don fondly at the many happy hours he accompanied his mother and father. Don was a loyal son, never missing his regular, consistent visits with his Mom. Don enjoyed talking to many of our residents and staff. He was a down to earth person who enjoyed the simple yet important things in life. Mrs Sweeney alone has said enough prayers for him and she said Mike came and took him with him. It’s that kind of faith that lifts us all. May your lifetime of memories and his way of living inspire you to keep loving your own lives. Love is forever.

I am sorry to hear about Uncle Don. My thoughts and prayers are with Edith, Bradley and Craig at this difficult time. Uncle Don will be missed. I remember all the family visits and meals we had together when we were in Labrador City. When I visited Dad later in Newfoundland we would always go to see Don and Edith.

Edith & Family, Anne and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Don. I ran into Don a couple years ago at Kents in Mount Pearl. I hadn’t seen him since when we transferred from Labrador City and you guys dropped by to see us in Gander. It was so good to see him again. We talked about the good old times that him, Jacques Tanguay and myself had during our time there, the fishing and hunting trips that we did. We hunted ducks, geese and of course hundreds of ptarmigan. On many occasions we would stay in a cabin on the Ashuanipi Lake during our hunting and fishing escapades. Don was very much like myself, he loved the kettle boiled out on the trail. What wonderful and memorial trail lunches we shared. I made contact with Jacques this morning and advised him of the passing of Don. Once again, our deepest condolences to you and your family. Regards, Sam and Anne

Edith and family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Don's passing. We certainly enjoyed our little chats after mass on Sundays, and could always count on Don to volunteer whenever he was available. Covid has taken so much from us, we did not even know Don was ill. We are so sorry for your loss. Keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
