I am so sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing, he was such a wonderful man. When I was pregnant, I had to stay in hospital 13 weeks due to my kidneys, and Charlie was in for a surgery. I would always go for a walk upstairs even with all my IV poles! I loved our little chats…he was so excited for me, for my first (and only) child. That was 16 years ago…I’ve always ran into him in several places, we always chatted and he always gave me the biggest hug.
My heart is breaking for the family right now, but Charlie, I know you have your wings now and I bet you’re on the open road.

To Rose and all the Hefford family, we were very sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. The very sad loss of one fine gentleman. Charlie never hesitated to give a helping hand, always going above and beyond for anyone, especially at tax time. There was no trouble to get into a long conversation with him about boats and fishing. With a love for his Harley that radiated enthusiasm, he was almost always proudly sporting his Harley hat. What does one say about Harley Charlie? Certain adjectives come to mind namely friendly, optimistic, caring, fun loving, compassionate , interesting and unique. There are many more that others can offer I am sure. I will always remember a few years back when he visited us on his Harley. Although his legs were starting to affect his riding at that time he jumped at the chance for both of us to ride from Blaketown to Roaches Line where we both parted. Charlie was a consummate biker and signal and brake lights were not enough for him; his riding was accompanied by hand signals too. That was as rare as Harley Charlie!
To Rose and family and his three brothers, Lew, Frank and Fred, Sandra and I offer our deepest sympathies on the passing of a wonderful individual.
