Myself and my family no longer live in Newfoundland, but when we did our three children were small. My husband travelled often and Amy would visit our home every two weeks to help me bring a sense of order back to our lives. Amy's warmth and support during those early years was beyond helpful to me. She was such a gift in our lives. She always spoke with such incredible love about her husband, son and extended family. So sorry for your loss.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Murphy & Butler families. I went to school with Amy as a young child and can say that right from the start she was a confident, smart and gentle person. I can still hear her voice as a child speaking and see her hanging out with her school friends. She was never one to cause or get into trouble but definitely one who you knew would hold her ground and wasn’t afraid to answer questions in class. Having moved away as a young person I have never known where most of my school mates ended up. I always respected Amy and those of her family that I knew. I hope you can all find some peace in having had the privilege of knowing and sharing in her life. Bless you all.

Condolences to Amys family. Amy was a wonderful person who was loved by many. She always spoke very highly about Ron and Travis. My mom, Myrtle Petten, would also like to pass along her condolences as she can’t attend the service due to medical reasons. Mom loved Amy so much and Amy cleaned for mom and Mac for many years and was a true treasure. When Mac passed away Amy was there to take over whatever needed to be done. She helped our family a lot and was very much missed when she had to give up due to her own illness. RIP my friend and fly high with the angels.

What a beautiful picture of her!
To all of the Butler and Murphy families...so sorry to hear about Amy. I have many good memories from years ago...I.e., Amy singing all of the lyrics to the songs at the "Grease" movie, camping in Butter Pot, havin' a time at the Mini Mart Christmas parties,
