It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Claude Blagdon, at the age of 72 years on February 24th, 2022.  Predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara Gail (nee Smith), parents Marion (nee Farrell) & William Blagdon, parents-in-law Mildred (nee Haines) & Kenneth Smith.  He is survived and dearly missed by his children Christopher (Heather), Angela (Todd) and Kenneth (Heidi), nine grandchildren (Lauren, Julie, Evan, Brandon, Brielle, Ava, Kieran, John & Harrison), brother Terry (Gail), brothers-in-law Wayne (Phyllis) and Randy (Francis), sisters-in-law Lynn (Walter) and Laurie, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews who meant the world to him.  He was blessed with a large circle of dear friends and business associates who will no doubt miss his loving nature and dry sense of humour.  Card night will surely not be the same without him, nor will the hunting trips. We extend a special thank you to all of those who helped during his illness, including Marie, the doctors and nurses at the Cancer Centre and the Heart Clinic, the Community Health Nurses, and to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Miller Centre.  Special mention also to Cody and Mark who were always there to help and accommodate in any way that was needed. Cremation has taken place and there will be an open visitation at Hickey’s Funeral Home in Kelligrews on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at 12 noon - 4 pm.  According to Covid-19 restrictions, vaccination pass and identification will be required. A family only funeral service is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 6th, 2022 at 11:30 am at the Hickey’s Memorial Chapel.  To view the funeral service live, please visit www.hickeysfuneralhome.com and click LIVE.  To send a message of condolence, please visit www.hickeysfuneralhome.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Claude’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s own choosing.
