I loved going to work and having our heated chats about everything and nothing. Mostly hockey and our Maple Leafs. You always told it as it was. We always had a laugh. We are going to miss your smile, your laugh and your love for your family and having fun. You were always young at heart. There will always and only be ONE Uncle Mike. So sad to hear of Mike's passing. I knew Mike through the CBS Softball league and to say he was the most popular guy in the league was an understatement. Mike knew everyone by name and always said hello and asked how you were. You could tell he loved being at the field, especially being able to play on the same team with his son, Kirk. It always brought a smile to my face the way they would interact, when Kirk would be pitching, if he threw a few balls, Mike would say "lay it in there son" and whenever Mike would get a hit, Kirk would congratulate him and something along the lines of "good job fadder."
Our league is certainly going to miss Mikey, he was a great man. "WHO-AH"

To Linda, Kirk ,Mark and the rest of the family we were shocked to say the least when we heard of Mike’s passing. We met Mike years ago when my son started his first job at Rona and then followed him to Apex when Rona closed. He taught Brandon so much. What a genuine, kind man. Always full of stories and laughter. He would always call me Mudder when I would see him on my walks or at the grocery store. Going to miss him blowing his horn at me like crazy on my early morning walks . He always brightened my day. He was very special to my son Brandon. Brandon would always keep in touch with him after he left Apex. Mike would tell me he was so proud of him. I could always count on him. His laugh was contagious. He made everyone feel like family.
To Mikes family hold tight to the memories you have. When Mike spoke about Linda, the boys or the grandchildren he was full of smiles and a story every time. It’s no doubt he touched many hearts.

To Mike's family, my deepest sympathy to you all. I remember Mike growing up in Chapel's Cove, he always had a kind word to everyone he came into contact with. He was always smiling & had this bubbly personality. It wasn't until years later that I got to see him again. It was at a St. Patrick's Day dart tournament and when we realized who each other were, the first thing we said was "Chapel's Cove" & then the big ole "bear hugs" came. Mike was very proud of his family & he cherished his grandchildren. Mike, you will be dearly missed. Fly high with the angels.

Mike and Peter go back many many years - from Stokes,, Chester Dawes, and lastly Rona not only was he a co worker from decades but a great friend who always would lend a ear and was always that person was there if you needed anything - he would give the shirt of his back if you needed it . I had the pleasure of meeting this gentle giant and it was always a story or just a little chat but you always went away from talking to him with a smile on your face. This news last night was a total shock and disbelief . Our condolences to his wife and family at this time., you were all his world . There are no words that will make the pain go away but knowing that Mike touched so many lives hopefully will bring some comfort in your time of grieving.
Till we meet again Mike - Fly high
