Obituary of James Conran

CONRAN, James Michael (Jim) July 16, 1940-April 17, 2022

Originally from Bell Island, Newfoundland, passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre.

Predeceased by his parents James and Sadie (nee O’Neill). Siblings Fabian, Sidney, Patrick, Sheila, Margaret and Violet. Left to mourn deeply are his wife and companion of 40 years, Beverly (nee Bickford). His children: Maureen (Keith), Shawn (Pam) and Joanne. His step children; Scott (Florence), Crystal (Rob), Sheldon (Tina) and Ebony (Blair). Grandchildren: Jessica (Dale), Melissa, Joshua, Kennedy, Devyn, Shane (Erin), Melissa, RJ, Kayn (Jasmine), Gavyn (Norissa), Lexy (Scott) and Koby.

Great Grandchildren:  Zachary, Sebastian, Jack, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Delilah, Emma and Cameron. Also, many nieces and nephews, friends and family members in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, friends from AA, where he celebrated over 30 years of sobriety and very close friends Jimmy and Eva Dwyer.

We are very grateful to his caregivers at Glenbrook Lodge, where he has resided and received exceptional care over the last 2 1/2 years. Many thanks and much gratitude to the healthcare team at HSC emergency department and 5SB for their kindness and compassion during his last hours.
