We express our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Marg.
I first met Marg as a friend of my parents Harvey & Marie Rideout and later used to babysit for her when she was living in Greelytown Rd.
I was Fortunate enough to meet up with her again when we worked at Paddy’s Pond Irving where I served gas and Marg was a waitress. She was a real fireball, our most famous waitress who would make all the customers laugh and bring a smile to the most sternest of RCMP who popped in for coffee. One day when I was there an older person asked her for ketchup, she smiled her devilish grin and said “You run and I’ll catch up”. It was just one of numerous funny things she said that I have never forgotten . It’s funny how a teenage boy can recall so many funny little stories almost 50 years later. She had a big impact on me.
Marg was a hard worker who never had much in the way of material things. She did have a big heart and a wicked sense of humour which all who met her would experience whether or not they wanted to or were prepared lol.
I was very surprised and saddened to hear about her passing, God get ready, things won’t be dull much longer :o)) Rest In peace Marg and please say hi to all of those who have gone on before you, I am certain they are all sharing a few good laughs from days gone by. It was nice to have known and befriended you.
