Mary Veronica Sweeney (Leonard)

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her ever loving family on April 20^th, 2022, age 92 years of Admiral’s Coast Retirement Centre, formerly of Admiral’s Beach, St. Mary’s Bay and Clattice Harbour, Placentia Bay. Predeceased by her husband Michael on January 18^th, 2016 and son Donald on January 18^th, 2022, parents: David and Mary Leonard, brother: Ignatius, sisters: Cecily and Loretta. Leaving to mourn sons: Ernie (Joyce),David (Maxine), Danny (Enobong),Terry (Irene), Mike (Peggy) and Emmett, daughters: Rosemary (Gerard Hickey), Darlene (Dave Trough), and Jacinta (Tom Walsh), daughter-in-law: Edith Sweeney, twenty two grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, sisters: Annie O’Rourke and Margaret Parsons. Also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be in Hickey’s Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Friday, April 22^nd, 2022 from 3 pm – 7 pm. Funeral service will take place in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 23^rd, 2022 at 1pm. Interment in St. Edward’s Cemetery, Kelligrews.
