Druken William (Bill)
Born January 12, 1945, passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers on May 5, 2022 after a courageous battle of dementia and COPD. Predeceased by his loving wife: Phylis, in which even dementia could not take from him, his parents: Margaret and Peter, brothers: Ron, Bernard, Gus, and Tom, sisters: Mary and Bernadette (Bun). Leaving to mourn with fond loving memories his daughter: Diedre (Kendall), special granddaughters: Haley and Faith and his one and only grandson: Tanar. Also leaving to mourn his brother: Raymond (Betty), loving sisters: Daphne (special niece Karen) and Helen. Also leaving to mourn many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of family and friends. The family wishes to express thanks to Cannings Personal Care Home in CBS, also a sincere thank you to the staff of Pleasant View Towers 1 South East. Special thanks to the social work department and nursing staff. During Bills time on earth, he worked as roofer with his brothers, something he spoke highly of and took a lot of pride in. Later in life Bills love of music and people bought him to work at Lottie’s where he was everyone’s right hand man and admired by many people who knew him. Bill’s greatest gift and blessing was the love of his three grandchildren. Even in the years Bill had dementia he was always funny and kind to be around. Bill was a proud member of the Shea Heights community where his family and friends will miss him tremendously. Visitation will be in Hickey's Funeral Home Kelligrews on Monday May 9th from 10 am to 1:30 pm Funeral service to take place in Hickey's Memorial Chapel on Monday May 9th at 2 pm.
