Obituary of Lewis King
Lewis King
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving Dad, Lewis King, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10th at the age of 79 surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife: Doreen, his parents: Lester and Olive, brother: Roger and sister: Elizabeth. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Elizabeth (Wayde), Debbie (Sheldon), Boyce (Megan) and Tracy (Jason); grandchildren: Adam (Victoria), Andrew, Andrea, Keshia, Justine, Claire, Emily, Faith and Olivia; great grandchildren: Lucas, Sam, Sophia, AJ, Liam and Stephen; brothers: Hayward (Elsie), Francis (Phyllis), Raymond (Edna), Bruce, Ralph (Joy); sisters: Violet (predeceased Max) and Daphne; brother in law: Edward; extended family and a wonderful circle of friends. His beautiful smile and bright blue eyes would light up any room. He shared a love of gardening and bird watching with his wife. Spending time “carrying on” with his grandchildren always brought him so much joy. He dedicated 45 years to the community as a bus driver and spent countless hours in his garage, both of which brought him so much happiness. Special thanks are extended to the doctors and nurses at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. A celebration of Lewis’ wonderful life will take place on Saturday, May 14th at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church on Change Islands. This is a public service and masks are recommended. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Kids Eat Smart Foundation will be graciously appreciated. To send a message of condolence, please visit www.hickeysfuneralhome.com
