Tomorrow would have been Jeffreys 35th birthday. A pleasant little child , sent from heaven above , to my brothers family, to nurture and to love. We knew from the beginning- his climb would be all uphill, so God sent him to Bern and Bev, who loved him then...and always will. Even though Jeffy would never walk or talk, or play or sing or dance. He became a teacher, we were all amazed , it happened just by chance;- He taught all his therapists and care workers the meaning of patience and how to appreciate small improvements...as they were often milestones for Jeffy... He taught everyone who met him how to smile... because he was always so pleasant and would listen attentively as you spoke to him. He taught me to be grateful for all the blessing in my life... because as I watched my brother whistle or play the mouth organ for Jeff...I could see how he would listen and laugh at the sounds.... this small interaction could soften any heart. But most obvious- he was a teacher to his family,...he taught them how to love and support one another. Jeffy required lots of love, care and understanding during his short life- and it was necessary for them to work together to care for Jeffy and ensure that he was healthy and loved. They were wonderful advocates for Jeffrey are strived to ensure he received all that was available for him to function at his optimal potential. And so- little Jeffy...as I think about you tonight I can smile and say ,,,I will always love you and miss you ....and we as a family, thank you for your many lessons. You will not be forgotten. love always, aunt Judy and the Dalton family

Mr. and Mrs. Dalton, please accept my condolences on Jeffrey's passing. I always remembered taking him for a walk outside when I worked with him at St. Edwards. He loved the wind on his face and always laughed and smiled. It was a pleasure to see.
