Dave was one of my good high school teachers at La Scie, and was at that time let’s just say, well, less than full of excitement. So when I heard a little while after graduating that he was in some comedic band and he was the centre of attention whom made the audience bust a gut, I just couldn’t believe it. I actually remember asking “Dave ?, Dave Brett ?, teacher Dave Brett from La Scie?”, I just could hardly believe what I was hearing and thought they were being sarcastic or trying to pull one over on me. Well I was glad I had the chance to see another facet of him at several performances and many a laugh and smile he has given to multitudes of people. His legend lives on. Thanks Dave.
May you take pride in knowing he was certainly well liked and respected and Now I’m wondering what surprises and laughs he’s got coming for us in the afterlife; makes the thought of dying a bit easier.
