Passed peacefully away at her home in Holyrood, in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, July 7th, 2022, Madeline Tubrett, aged 87 years.

Madeline was predeceased by her loving parents, Ann and Nicholas Dalton; brothers, Richard, Patrick, Gregory, Lawrence, and Charles; sisters, Bernadette, Margaret, Annie, Florence, Kathleen, and Isabel; mother and father-in-law, Michael and Winnifred Tubrett; and brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Betty Tubrett.

Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life with thanksgiving are her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Raymond; children, Michael (Camilla), Wynn Anne (Paul), and Ray (Robyn); grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Jeffrey (Laura), Nathan (Keighley), Rebecca (Jonny), Logan, and Luke; precious great-granddaughter, Stella Mae; sister, Ester Lavin; special sister-in-law, Joan Tubrett; also a large circle of extended family and friends.

Madeline loved life and everything about it, her grandchildren truly were her pride and joy; to her they were all “boy angels and girl angels”. Sundays were always a favourite at Nan’s house, jiggs dinner and always a yummy dessert. She lived life to the fullest and was always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand.

We would like to thank the many angels among us; Helen Healey, Teresita Gosse, Lorraine Williams, Dr. Russell Lake, Melissa Edwards and Tina Frampton of the palliative care program with Eastern Health, The Dispensary, and Jenn Ryan, we were truly blessed with your guidance and compassion and we cannot thank you enough for the love and support we have been provided.

Resting at Hickey’s Funeral Home, Holyrood with visitation on Sunday, July 10th, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The family requests that masks be worn for both the visitation and service.
