BRIAN V. POWER

August 19, 1953 – September 13, 2022

POWER, BRIAN V.  It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle at his home, very much on his own terms, and in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 69 years of age.  Predeceased by his parents, Richard Power and Kathleen (Lahey) Power; sister – Marilyn Power.  Leaving to mourn with great loss and sadness and to celebrate his life are his sons, Jimmy (Wendy Dwyer) and  Gerald, daughter Shakira Penney and granddaughter, Airika Penney; Also leaving to mourn his loss are his brothers - Walter, Fergus (Linda Porter), Gerald (Catherine) and Richard, his sisters -  Eleanor Connolly, Clara Sharpe (Robert),  Ann Yasman and Rosalita Byrne as well as good friends, Reg Smith and Jack Rideout together with a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A special thank you to his cousin, Clara Butler, who has been by his side caring for him since his illness.    Also, a sincere thanks to Dr. Hurley and her Pallative Care Team for their compassion and  care shown to Brian at the end of his life.  At Brian’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Donations in his memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice. 

Rest in Peace Dad!
