Florence Curran

Obituary of Florence Curran

Curran, Florence

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Florence
Curran (nee Parsley) aged 61 years. She lost her short but courageous battle
with ALS on September 16th, 2022. She was an amazing baker, knitter,
seamstress and gardener. Florence could master anything that she put
her hands to and wasn't still for a moment. She was always there to lend
a helping hand, to hem pants, cut off curtains, give someone a ride. Her
kindness shined through.
First and foremost though, she was a Mother and Grandmother, to which
she devoted her life to her daughter and her family. She was also a
sister , aunt and a friend. She was predeceased by her parents Stephen
and Ann Parsley, her brother in law Charl and her sister Rose, who was
waiting with open arms and a cup of tea and have a chat as they did for
so many nights throughout their lifetime.
Left to mourn Florence is her only daughter Charmaine and son in law
Mike and her three precious grandchildren Dominic, Daniel and Keira.
Also left to mourn are her brothers Steve (Mabel) , Gerry (Gail), Kevin
(Jeannie) and Sister Mary (Willie). She is also survived by her nieces
and nephews and extended family and friends. She had three special
great nephews whom she spent a great deal of time with and treated as
her own grandchildren Douglas, Justin and Cameron. Special friend Pat
Tucker for all the love, support and faith you have given mom over the
years especially since she lost her sister Rose.
Special thanks to her sister Mary for all the care, sleepovers and
appointments over this very difficult time it will not be forgotten. Also
special thanks go out to Tracy Fewer and Emily Pretty for the care and
compassion that you have provided for mom over this past while.
