Declan Wall

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Declan Patrick Wall, formerly of Holyrood, on November 14, 2022 at the age of 68.  He is predeceased by his parents, Stan and Mary; brother, Peter; and the mother of his children, Helen Hannaford.  Leaving to mourn with loving & happy memories are his wife, Ethel; his cherished children, Robert and Catherine; step children, Janice & David; grandchildren, Melinda, Jessalyn and Emma Grace; brothers Stan (Wendy), Dominic (Sharon), Aidan (Mary); sister, Tina; his nephews and great nieces & nephews; and a large circle of family and friends. Declan was a long-standing member of the Labourers International Union and remained actively involved after his retirement.  He was also a member of the Star of the Sea Association in Holyrood and was proud to participate in their community events in Declan’s beloved hometown.  Visitation will be at Hickeys Funeral Home in Holyrood on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 3 – 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be at the Holy Cross Church in Holyrood on Friday, Nov 18 at 10:30 am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice.
