I am saddened in Mrs Greeley’s passing. I have only lovely memories of my every encounter with her. She she was Gary’s mom to our class, but mothered us all in high school, a good friend of my Mom through the years and a welcome chat with me whenever we’d meet throughout my life. My heart goes out to each and every one of you during this time. Marge was not only the pillar that you all relied on, she was a pillar of the community and a wonderful friend to do many.
I have so many memories of her and the whole family from a little girl to today. One of the last memories was when even as she was fighting her own battle, she still came to see Mom before she passed last year, and the smile on her face when Dad would bring her a feed of caplin.
Treasure your memories and keep her close. Her job here is done and she did it exceedingly well.

I will always hold fond memories of Marge and her family. As a young boy I spent many hours playing hockey with the boys (mostly Gary, Jimmy and sometimes Glen) in that corner front yard beside the driveway. The Stanley Cup was won more times in that field than any NHL team, it was such a great time of life for me. When Marge and Edgar opened their store they were always so welcoming. My brother Barry was just telling me the other day about a Christmas gift he received that required a square battery and did not come with one so off he went, Christmas morning, to Marge's store, which of course was closed. Barry knocked on the door and the battery was secured for a Christmas day of fun with a new toy!
I always felt welcomed in your home Marge and always thought of you as such a beautiful person...rest in peace my dear friend!

Those were indeed great times. I remember when the supply truck came to replenish the store Marge allowed me to pick out the candy i would like in the store! That only meant me spending more money there! But i loved it! How many times we would be hanging out there and like you said Greg playing hockey! It was always a pilgrimage to say hello when visiting home. RIP our very hospitable neighbor!

It was so sad to hear of Marge's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of her during my life. When I was a small boy she had a store attached to her house. In that store there was a plastic light up sword that I just had to have. She kept the sword for me until I paid it off bit by bit. I was some proud to finally get my sword. About 10 years ago she gave me some small lilac tress which are growing quite nicely. Condolences to all her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I received this terrible news recently from my mother. The world has lost an amazing person! Marge was an incredibly sweet women!
I remember when Marge was the “cafeteria lady” at our high school, thousands of Kids passed through that high school over the years, and all of them would, not only see her smiling face, but a warm, “ yes, my darling/sweetheart, what can I do for you today?” She was loved by everyone that knew her!

To Edgar, Steve, Wanda, Wade, Suzanne and Glenn as well as all the extended family and many friends of Marge, we would like to express our most sincere condolences.
Growing up in Foxtrap, our families were so close that we were often in touch with each other and with many of us being close in age, we also went to school together. I have many memories of visiting, playing and eating at the Greeley home.
Marge was always so soft spoken and gentle and just made everyone feel like they belonged. This wonderful trait, she also instilled in her children who are also as welcoming.
A celebrity in her own right, every child in CBS knew Marge as that wonderful lady who prepared the hot lunches at the school cafeteria. She was also a great country dancer who could be seen in her golden years twirling around on the stage with Edgar.
I know from experience just how difficult this is for you all. I also know from having a similar loving family how important it is for you all to lean on each other now and to celebrate her awesome life and reflect on all those loving fun memories you all cherish.

It’s with a heavy heart I write this condolence message! While posted to CFB Lahr is Germany 1987-1991, I had the pleasure of meeting Marge and Edgar when they were visiting Glen and Wade! I felt like I was talking to my mom and dad. Their Newfoundland accent and their happy go lucky attitude was a god send for me! I missed home and I felt like they came over with their pockets full of home! We clicked and remained friends for 30 plus years! They knew my family and we had some mutual friends!
I know most of the family and I know for a fact that Marg was very proud of all her kids, grandkids and Great grandchildren!

To Wanda, Bob and Family,
Words cannot express how sad we were to hear of Nanny Greeley's passing. We have so many memories that both Megan and Shea shared with Nanny and Poppy Greeley which will remain with us forever. She was a kind a caring person who always enjoyed a cup of tea and a visit. We all enjoyed her homemade bread and she was always happy when the crowd was around.
She and Edgar (Poppy Greeley) always made us feel like a part of the family. We will cherished all the wonderful memories we have of her and the good times spent on Greeleytown Road.
The loss of your mom is a big loss for your family as there is just no other love like a mother’s. While we know that words are only a small gesture of support during this difficult time it is important to hold close to your heart the beautiful memories you have created over the years and she will be with you always. We were very saddened to hear of Marge's passing. Our deepest condolences to Edgar and all the Greeley family.
Covid has kept us from coming back to the rock these past few years, but we will always cherish memories of Aunt Marge.
She was a kind soul and was always so welcoming to all those that came to her home.

Dear Edgar and family,
What a bittersweet feeling.We were sad to hear Marge had passed away but also know she would not want to live if she could not not have a good quality of life. She is with Gary now and what a nice thought that is.
We remember all the good times we shared together, from dances, playing cards, dinners and just enjoying each others company having a good visit. Marge was a good friend and we cherish every memory.
