I never had the privilege to meet Kim in person but spoke with her on the phone on couple occasions, after her Mom passed. Kim and her father were having a hard time dealing with their loss, but she was very concerned about her Dad, he was taking it very hard, he had lost his best friend, the love of his life she told me. I would have loved to meet Kim in person, but because of the pandemic I was not able to, she was so kind, so I sent her an article by mail on coping with grief and the Bible’s hope, she wanted it for her father to help him. She read it herself and found the Bible’s hope so comforting. John 5:28,29a revealed “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.” How comforting a promise to see our dead loved ones again. When we do, the Bible describes the future when “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” Revelation 21:4. Isiah 25:8 says, “He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, For Jehovah himself has spoken it.” Isiah 33:24 And no resident will say: “I am sick.” Psalm 37:29 says, “The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.”
