H. Robert (Bob) Chaytor

Passed peacefully away on February 25th, 2023, H. Robert (Bob) Chaytor of Chamberlains, aged 92 years. He was a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Pre-deceased by his parents, James and Rhoda Chaytor and his beloved wife of 57 years, Rosa (2012). Leaving to treasure his memory are his devoted children and their spouses Allison (David Loveys), Janice (Noel Andrews), Heather (Kirk Rees), Ruth (James Parkyn), Sandy (Stephen Jessome), and Stephen (Janet Chaytor). He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his 12 grandchildren Sarah Loveys (Greg), Katie Andrews, Zachary Andrews (Caitlyn), Kyle Rees (Laura), Simon Rees (Holly), Daniel Rees (Becky), Sam and Sophia Parkyn, Alexander and Benjamin Jessome, Laura Chaytor (Indie) and Nigel Chaytor (Emily) and his two precious great-grandchildren Lila and Jamie Rees. Also leaving to mourn his sister, Audrey and brother-in-law Cliff Petten and a wide circle of extended family and friends. Dad was appreciative of the help he received from his special cousins, Marie and Mary, and his caregiver, Jackie.

Resting at Hickey's Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay South. Visitation on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service in celebration of his life to take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Topsail on Thursday, March 2nd at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Topsail Anglican Cemetery. The family kindly request that masks be worn during visitation and funeral service. Dad was a long-term member of the Society of United Fishermen. He was a charming storyteller and proud family man. He worked for over 40 years with Canadian National Railway, but his true work passion was tending his farm on Fowlers Road.
