Rest in Peace Rodger! I watched him sit by my best friends side well she struggled with cancer in September, that was his daughter Dana! He was the most caring, loving, compassionate and strong man I have every meet. Not to mention a wonderful father. No man should never have to loose their children before themselves! It takes a very strong man to live though that! He will be greatly missed! It was a great honor to have known you Rodger Caines!

Oh, Rodger, Rodger, my old friend and colleague. I can't believe you, too, are now gone. We shared many a commute, many a favour, many a work or personal task or chuckle, many an observation on the perplexities and ironies of life. Julia and I always had fond memories of you and your unique perspective on things. My sincerest condolences to the family, many of whom I have never had the pleasure of meeting. I have lost an old and dear friend, but I know their loss is the much greater. They, however, have had the privilege of knowing you in your full maturity in the years after we were no longer in contact. I can only imagine the wisdom and humour you attained in those years, and regret that we never had the opportunity for a last goodbye in person. RIP, old friend.
