Obituary of Keith Penney

Keith Gordon Penney (Poppy, Gomp)

March 1^st, 1946 – May 16^th, 2023

 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Penney on Tuesday, May 16^thwhile surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents: Jacqueline and Myrden Penney, parents-in-law: Lydia and Fred Emberley, aunt: Greta Burry (Allan), brothers-in-law: Walter and Igol Emberley (Relia), nephew: Kevin Emberley, great- nephew: David Emberley.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Hilda, children: Stephen (Shelley) and Justin (Jessica), grandchildren: Nathaniel, Hayden, and Miles, sisters: Helen Taylor (Mel) and Sherry McAuley (Joe), brother: Butch Loder (Carla), sisters-in-law: Blanche Tibbo (Buff predeceased), Bernice Dodge (Albert predeceased), and Fern Iles (Clay), brothers-in-law: Malcolm (Henrietta) and Clarence Emberley (Diane); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion for their care and compassion.

Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Friday, May 19^th, 2023 from 3 – 7 pm. Funeral service in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 20^th, 2023 at 11 am. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road on Monday, May 22^nd, 2023 at 11 am.

 Memorial donations may be made in memory of Keith to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
