Obituary of Maureen Puddicombe

Maureen Puddicombe

On October 22, 2023, Maureen Puddicombe gained her wings and went to fly with the angels. She was 75years old. Predeceased by parents: George and Margaret Fowler, sisters: Theresa Mullaly, Ruth Janes and members of the Puddicombe family. Left to mourn are her 2 sons Rodney Puddicombe (Zena) & Stephen Puddicombe (Heather). Her 6 precious grandchildren Colby, Meka, Avery, Spencer, Sam and Jake and her great granddaughter Evelyn. Maureen also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A very special thank you to Sharon Dillion and Lisa Janes who she truly considered the daughters she never had. We thank you for loving her like your own mother. The family would also like to thank the staff on the 1st and 4th floor of St. Patrick’s mercy home for all the love and care you gave her. She had a special bond with so many of you. First and foremost, Maureen was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. Anyone who knew them knew that she was a star in their eyes, and that’s all that ever mattered to her. Maureen had a flare for fashion and no outfit was complete without lipstick, jewelry & her favourite perfume! Our mom was the strongest women we ever met. She was not afraid of anyone or anything. 23 years ago, she was given 6-7 years to live. However, she proved to everyone just how strong and courageous she really was and beat all the odds. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, CBS on Tuesday, October 24th,2023 from 3 – 7 pm.
