Edward,after he figured out who I was!,Always had a smile, kind words and a hug before I left him! Such a sweet person! His mom(Emily)and my Nan (Annie-Jane)were sisters! We’re so sorry to hear of Edward’s passing.
Edward was hands down the kindest man you would ever be lucky enough to know. He was very outgoing, attending social functions along the shore everyday. We used to joke with him and say that he had more of a social life than all 3 of us combined and that we would never be able to keep up with him. His heart was pure gold and his smile lit up a room. He treated everyone like one of his own and made sure to take the time to stop and chat with you no matter where you’d meet him. He would always tease us about how we would never come visit. We’d joke and laugh and say it was because he lived next to the graveyard and that it was too scary for us and he’d come back and say “Sure my God it’s not the dead you need to worry about! Them ghosts won’t hurt ya! It’s the living!” There wasn’t a time that we ever left his company not laughing or smiling.
When he’d come in the shop, we’d sit him down and get talking about years gone by and he’d have a good many stories to tell. Until he’d realize how much time had gone by chatting and he’d say “my god I got to go, I’m too busy to be at this today!”while looking at you with that twinkle in his eye and that smile on his face. We’re certainly going to miss him, we thought the world of him. Edward was such a special man who holds a very dear place in our hearts. We will cherish all of those chats, laughs, dances and visits until we meet again. Rest in peace our dearest Edward, you’re going to be missed beyond measure.
