Great-Great Niece: Oaklynn. A special thank you to her niece Nickie and family Joe, Sydney, Carmen & CJ for welcoming her into their home while Nickie was her caregiver for 20+ years. She was showed such loving care in the 20+ years Nickie took care. A special thank you to her Homecare workers Amanda, Kayla and Samantha who’s care, and support was outstanding. Also, thank you to all of her caregiver throughout the years which are too many to name. Denise loved when family or friends came to visit her, but she especially liked it if you brought a treat for her. Whether it was a bag of chips, ice cream or a bar, she always asked if you wanted some. Pictures drawn by her nieces or nephews were shown over and over again to whomever came through the door.  Denise was very soft spoken but always quick with a joke or a saying. Like the time Jason came in and said, “hello Denise” Robyn never heard her respond so she said "Denise, Jason said hi.” Denise replied, "I said hi what do he want, jam on it.” Denise loved to visit family, whenever she would go to her niece Robyn’s house her daughter Lucy would help her take off her coat and boots. She would sit her down and paint her fingernails and toenails and Denise would be showing them off for days. If you want to know anything about the past just ask Denise, she always knew the answer, but you better listen closely because she wasn’t going to say it again. Denise loved to watch TV, whether it be The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, or her favorite The Golden Girls which felt like it was played 24 hours a day.  Denise’s presence always brightened everyone’s day. She was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was one of a kind!
