Obituary of Gerald (Gerry) Hogan

GERALD (Gerry) FRANCIS HOGAN

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Gerry on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Predeceased by his wife Linda Lane Hogan (2016).

Gerry was also predeceased by his parents Isabel & Gerald Hogan; brothers Raymond Hogan, Patrick Hogan, and David Hogan; sister Paula Hogan; stepdaughter Roxane Greeley; nephew Scott Stansbury and brother-in-law John Bugden.

Left to mourn are his precious grandchildren, Madison & Brendan, parents Greg & Stephanie Greeley. Gerry will also be dearly missed by his sisters whom he called sister #1 Mary Stansbury (Frank); sister #2 Rowena Bugden; and sister #3 Lillian Morgan (John); and by his brother Richard (Michelle).  Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews will greatly miss him. He will also be mourned by special friends Roger Davis, Bob & Wanda Perrin and Arnold &Bonnie Fagan, and many other friends and relatives.

His grandchildren were the absolute highlights of his life, he adored and took immense pride in each one of them. Gerry had the gift for storytelling and would tell tall tales that could make even the most unbelievable stories come to life and seem true. This Christmas will be difficult without Gerry as it was his favorite time of year.

Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay South, CBS on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, from 2 – 4 pm & 7 – 9pm, Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 from 2 – 4 pm & 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service in Hickey’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 1st, 2023 at 11 am. Interment in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Dunn’s Hill Road, Foxtrap In lieu of flowers donations can be to the Diabetes Association or a charity of one’s choice.
