We are heartbroken on the news of Edwin’s passing. You guys have lost a very dear and dedicated family member, and the CLB has lost one of it’s most dedicated and faithful leaders. My earliest recollection of “Ed” was as my sergeant during my preteen years in the brigade. When I later became the Foxtrap Company sergeant-major, and then an officer, I recall Ed’s organizational skills, and his attention to detail as we would meet in his home preparing year-end awards. He was one of the earliest members of the CBS CLB Old Comrades, joining when Branch #2 was less then a month old. At the turn of the millennium he became our Treasurer, a position he held until life’s challenges were too great. Edwin Breen, the kindest of gentlemen, regimental number 8612, and Old Comrades number 021, was true to his word and has “Faught the Good Fight”, and now deserves to fly high with the angels. Rest in peace my good friend.
