Margaret F Dalton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret F Dalton (nee O'Connell) on December 8th, 2023, at the age of 72. She peacefully passed away in the presence of her loving family.

Predeceased by her father and mother John and Ellen O'Connell, brothers Thomas and Johnny. Her father and mother-in-law George and Mary Dalton and sister-in-law Mary Dalton.

She leaves behind with tremendously broken hearts; her loving husband and amazing caretaker to the end, Albert of 52 years, her sons Albert (Lynette) and John (Kayla). Her daughter and best friend Melissa. Her grandchildren who she adored Hayley, Alex (Reanna), Julia, Kate, Brent and step-grandchild Brady. Also, sisters and brothers’ in-laws Sharon (Angus) Dalton, Irene McCarthy, Roseann Dalton, Dan Dalton, Gary (AnnMarie) Dalton, Ron (Marcella) Dalton, her 18 nieces and nephews from the Dalton and O'Connell family.

The family is eternally grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our family, neighbors, and friends.

A special thank you to the staff at St Patrick's Home on 3 east for the amazing care they provided to Mom over the last 11 months.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, Holyrood on Sunday, December 17th, 2023, from 2 pm to 3 pm for immediate family, then 3pm to 8pm for all other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, December 18th, 2023, at 1030 am at Holy Cross Church in Holyrood, NL. Burial to happen at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Kids Eat Smart program at https://www.kidseatsmart.ca/donate-now with the funds being donated to Holy Cross Elementary, Holyrood, Roncalli Central High, Avondale or Queen Elizabeth High School, Foxtrap.
