Mrs chaytor was one of my favourite people! She was so friendly and kind to me and my family when we started attending cbs corp many years ago!! She used to make sugar cookies for my daughter cause she knew she loved them! Everytime I would see her she always asked about Hannah!! I’m so happy I went to visit her this fall and spend some time with her and it was such a wonderful visit!! I got some nice pics of us!! My thoughts and prayers are for the family! To the family and friends of Helen, it is with a heavy heart that I would like to express my most sincere condolences on her passing. Helen and Ernie were best friends of my heavenly parents Harvey and Marie. They enjoyed numerous happy times and created many happy memories together. When I was a baby, Mom became very sick. Helen and Ernie opened their home and took me in along with their own children for an extended period, sadly, I was too young to have any memories of this stay but knowing them as I do, I am sure I was well cared for and loved just like one of their own.
Last year Helen reached out to my sister Laurie saying she wanted to hear from me. I called her several times during my drive to work and we shared a few good happy stories of years gone by. She missed Ernie dearly and though her mind was as sharp as a tack, she longed to be with him. I hope you can all celebrate the wonderful full life she had and how lucky we all are to have had her in our lives. I truly believe she is basking in her bliss, holding Ernie’s hand and looking down upon us all with mom and dad beside them.
I wish I could be home to come honour her life in person but unfortunately I live in Alberta. I would love to hear some of the many happy stories that will be shared as you celebrate her life. Take care, all of you and please know my heart is with you all.
