We were very saddened to hear of Gert's passing. We met Gert and Lorne many years ago at Doris and Jim's house, where they were always part of family and friend celebrations, many a fine meal, and fun. Gert was always so loving and kind. She greeted us with a smile and a hug and we felt her love. We thought the world of her. She will be missed. Our sincere condolences to Lorne and their sons and all the extended family. "Speak her name and she will be forever by your side." Always in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

We were deeply saddened by the news of Gert's passing. We really enjoyed the times we got together at our homes or going out somewhere for a meal. We always found Gert to be a very pleasant and happy person. When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now. We extend our most sincere condolences to all of you.

The light of the world is a little dimmer without this beautiful lady in it. I know she is with Jesus and no longer in pain. I have thought of her often over the years and missed her, and will continue to miss her. I remember this picture as it was at mine and Mike's wedding. Even though that didn't work out, Gert and Lorne are forever in my heart.
Gert was always a great support for me. I remember sitting with her and cross stitching, cooking with her and just hanging out. Living with Gert and Lorne was a great time in my life. My condolences to all of you and I'm sending my love and prayers to you in this difficult time. I wish I could be with you all in person.

Lorne, Jason, Mike, Chris and all your family, I am so very saddened by the loss of this precious and beautiful lady. I offer my sincere condolences to you all. Lorne, I will always remember all our wonderful times together, how you and Gert made Jim and me welcome in your home, how we enjoyed our coffee at either your house or ours on Thursday nights , the wonderful lamb dinners and the very best seal flipper dinners only Gert could cook so perfectly, her very kindness and intelligence, her sense of style, so much to even try to express. I have so many wonderful memories of her. I can only hope that the great memories you all have of her will help sustain you during these difficult times.
