To Teresita, Jess, Josh & Graham:
We are so deeply sorry & saddened by Danny’s passing. We’ve only known him for a short time but enjoyed thoroughly the good times we shared with our families. Our most recent memory of Danny is his kindness & his lending a helping hand with amazing skills at carpentry. Jess & Dan will have that precious memory with them every day as they settle into their new living space thanks to you.. Just 2 wks ago you sat at our dining table for a coffee and a warm chat. We all know that life is all about the memories and it is unfortunate that these fond memories only tend to be shared upon a close friend or family member passing.
Although I did not know Danny nearly as well as his close friends and family members, I will always have fond memories, noting the number of times I had the pleasure to be around him, distance sometimes can be a cruel barrier. Perhaps my thoughts go directly to his true character, Kind, Patient and Welcoming. Although there are a number of good memories, one comes to mind that I will never forget, as small as it was, it is one that will always stay with me. As most of the Kelly clan knows, the home in Harbour Main, was often the focal point of family gatherings , be it weddings, other occasions or whatever. And as most of you know, Danny was an early riser and work was always on his mind. In reference to this I recall one time when Danny and Teresita had a rather full house and bodies were pretty much everywhere, and in this case, Mercedes and I had pulled up onto an air mattress, yes, in the kitchen. And although I can't remember the exact time that Danny came tip toeing around us I still had one open watching him so carefully maneuver around us not to wake us as he was exiting to go outside to work. Danny was always considerate and soft spoken and would do anything for you and in this case even giving up his kitchen floor.
He was a wonderful young man and will be missed by all who had the real pleasure to know him. My heart pours out to Teresita, Jessica, Graham and Josh.
We all will miss him dearly but we should all hang on to those good memories and share them.
