Obituary of Tessa Crosbie

February 3, 1948 - July 20, 2024

On July 20, 2024, Tessa Crosbie took her final bow and gracefully left us after a very short illness.  Predeceased by her brother, Robert, mother and father Eleanor & Basil Hutton, husband Jim (James) Crosbie and son Fred. Tessa leaves to mourn their sad loss her sons, Philip & Basil (Andrea), granddaughter Ella, grandson Matthew, Sister Louise (Alf), brother Peter (Pat), and John (Caron), Sister-in-law Ros (Bob), members of the Crosbie & Hutton family along with many friends. Tessa was an active member of her community.  She was an active member of her church and was a talented artist, designer, singer and actress.  She will be sadly missed by the Arts community, her painting friends at Studio 5, TaDa Productions, Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, Theatre NL and Theatre CBS.  She loved playing the role of Mrs. Claus every year on local broadcasts and brought joy and laughter to every performance.  The family would like to thank the Staff of 4 South B of the HSC for their kindness and compassion. Flowers gratefully received or donations in Tessa’s memory may be made to the CBS Food Bank or Villanova Church at St. Edwards Parish. Visitation will be in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Wednesday, July 24 from 1 - 4 pm & 6- 9 pm. Funeral service will take place from St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Manuel's on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 2 pm. Inurnment in St. Thomas of Villanova Cemetery, Topsail.
