Madge C Barnes (Gill)
Passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024, age 91 years. Predeceased by husband William, parents Eric and Martha Gill, brothers Lester and Hedley, and sister Dorcas. Also predeceased by parents-in-law Charles and Flora Barnes, brothers-in-law Max Barnes and Charlie Barnes, and sisters-in-law Flora Hollett, Annie Cooper, Maisie Morgan and Elsie Barnes.
Leaving with loving memories her children Don (Agnes), Doug (Gert), Neil (Florence), Lynn Tucker (Barry); grandchildren Andrea Barnes, Scott Barnes (Chloe), Andrew Barnes, Vicki Barnes, Ashley Barnes (Jon Martin), Kyle Tucker (Glenys), Josh Tucker, and great-grandchildren Brooklyn Slade and Jackson Martin. Also leaving special niece and nephew, Madge Rolls and Walt Gill, and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Special thanks to the staffs of Meadow Creek and Chancellor Park for their care and compassion over the past few years.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Friday, September 20th, 2024, from 3 – 7 pm. Funeral service on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, at 11 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, Topsail. Interment in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery, Topsail.
