Robert John Keeping

September 10, 1957 – September 19, 2024

We are sad to announce that Robert John Keeping (Johnny) has fallen asleep in death.

Predeceased by his grandparents, Jack and Pearl Warford and his father, Abe Keeping.

Leaving to mourn his mother, Sybil (Keeping) Dobbin as well as friends who grew up with him in Stephenville and CBS, NL.

Johnny spent many years in Vancouver but ultimately decided he wanted to come home. When he lost his leg, he moved to Meadow Creek Retirement Centre, Paradise where he received the extra care he needed.

His mother, Sybil, would like to thank the staff at Meadow Creek and the medical personnel at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s for their excellent care of John during his final illness.

Cremation has taken place.

There will be a Memorial Service at Hickey’s Memorial Chapel, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 1:30 pm.
