Obituary of Eleanor Stokes

Eleanor (Puss) Stokes

February 6th, 1942- October 18th, 2024

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on October 18^th, 2024, at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Les Stokes, parents Harold and Ethel Somerton, parent’s in-law Nelson and Ellen Stokes, and many beloved members of the Somerton and Stokes families.

Left with loving memories are her sisters: Hilda Mercer (Graham deceased), Rosemary (Roger Richards), Darlene (Ivan Dawe), Juanita Somerton (Barry), sister in-laws, Anne Parsons (Charlie deceased), Geraldine Spragg (Bill deceased) and brother in-law Lorenzo Stokes (Bernice).

Eleanor is survived by nieces and nephews: Vicki Morris, Renee Zwirz (Tom), Scott Mercer, Deena Fagan (Adam), Dawn Hamlyn (Jason), Darren Richards (Nick), Melanie Dawe (Steve), Melissa Dawe (Colin) and Mandy Dawe (Peter). Special feline friend Milo. She also leaves behind so many wonderful family and friends that she thought so much about.

Visitation in Hickey’s Funeral Home, 570 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Bay South on Sunday, October 20^th, 2024, from 2 – 7 pm.
