Obituary of Audrey Porter

Audrey Porter

(November 17, 1932to November 12, 2024)

The family of the late Audrey Porter is heartbroken to announce her passing on November 12, 2024 (five days before her 92ndbirthday). In an ultimate gift of a grandmother’s love, Audrey has gone to be with her precious great-granddaughter Chelsea, who passed away eight days prior. Audrey was also pre-deceased by her husband Max (whom she missed greatly), the mom of her great grandchildren, Amanda, her closest sister, Shirley and many other members of the Dolson and Porter families.

Audrey leaves to mourn her two sons Wayne (Sandra) and Harold, who were her world and who she was immensely proud. Also left with many special memories are her four grandchildren, Andrea (Peter Harder), Craig, Kim (Barry Hart) and Mark (Jill Hampton) who were her pride and joy. Her seven great grandchildren Cassandra, Hailey, Lily, Emily, Jaxen, Chelsea and Callie loved her showering them with gifts and so much love. Audrey was also blessed with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members, but her closest were her sister Shirley’s children, Julie, Heather, Aaron, Elizabeth, Jane and Allison (and their families) who have always been there with a big hug for their “Aunt Audrey.”

Some of her grandchildren’s fondest memories were of her singing little children’s songs to them over the phone. Of course, a couple of her grandchildren also loved when she asked what kind of pie they wanted made for certain holidays (and if there would be pinwheels). The pictures of her children and grandchildren never collected dust in her home because she showed them to everyone who came through the door. You were always welcome in her home, as her love for her family and friends was immense – she had a huge heart and loved to give to others.

Audrey loved to attend church, read her Bible, watch TV, cook big meals for her family, dress up (with the high boots, handbags and her hair and nails done), play cards, go shopping and enjoy her weekly KFC with a Tim’s Coffee. Audrey always enjoyed a good laugh with family and friends and her home was always filled with love, all her husband’s collectables and the smell of homecooked meals.
