It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of my sweet mother, Esther Norris (predeceased by her husband, Max). Formerly of Bay de Verde, NL, most recently a resident of Saint Patrick's Mercy Home, she leaves in grief her son Eric (wife Patricia), grandson Philip (wife Megan), and sister Elizabeth Hopkins of Brownsdale, NL. She also leaves behind a family of nieces and nephews. Also saddened by her death is her large circle of friends that she considered her family of spiritual brothers and sisters. As a devoted servant of the one she considered "her best friend," Jehovah God, she will be remembered as a woman of deep love, care, and compassion towards all she knew. As she was, so we also are convinced of the love of her God and His son Jesus Christ for her. As anyone who knew her can attest, she spent her life determined to share with whomever she could the good news of God's Kingdom - including the promise recorded at Acts 24:15 "that there is going to be a resurrection."

In addition, we want to acknowledge our appreciation for the professional yet personal attention of the family of Hickey's Funeral Home in Conception Bay South, NL.
